The Australian and International Pilots Association (AIPA) is pleased to announce a partnership with the Australian Women Pilots’ Association (AWPA) for its National Conference and Annual General Meeting.
AIPA President Andrew Marshall said AIPA was proud to be the pilot association partner for the conference to be held 6–10 May in Airlie Beach, Queensland.
“AIPA is proud to support women in aviation and to partner with organisations like AWPA that are helping shape the future of our profession,” Captain Marshall said.
“We are seeing a growing number of women becoming pilots, and we need that momentum to continue to ensure the long-term strength of the pilot workforce.
“We will continue to advocate strongly for our female members to help shape a profession that supports women to enter, progress and lead in aviation over the long term.”
AWPA Queensland President Helen Trenerry, a former Qantas captain and AIPA member, said: “We are delighted to welcome AIPA as our Pilot Association Partner for the 2026 AWPA National Conference.
“AIPA plays a vital role in representing pilots and advancing professionalism and safety across the industry and we truly value their support.
“We look forward to working closely together to deliver a conference that inspires, connects and empowers female pilots from across Australia and internationally.”
The conference will feature industry forums, informative sessions, hands-on workshops and keynote addresses from leading women in aviation, highlighting developments in flight safety, professional practice, leadership and career pathways across the aviation sector.
