American Uranium (ASX:AMU) Confirms Timing for Lo Herma Resource Drilling
Jane Morgan Management
Perth, Australia – 2 October 2025 – American Uranium Limited (ASX:AMU) (“American Uranium”, “AMU” or the “Company”) today announced the confirmed timing of phase one drilling at its flagship Lo Herma Project in Wyoming, with activities scheduled to commence the week commencing 20 October 2025.
The program marks a significant milestone for one of the United States’ few near-term in-situ recovery (ISR) uranium projects, reinforcing AMU’s positioning as a key participant in the revival of U.S. nuclear energy and uranium mining.
Program Highlights
-
Phase one drilling to commence w/c 20 October 2025
-
Focus on resource expansion to the north of planned Mine Units 1 and 2 (MU1 & MU2)
-
Hydrogeological testing to run concurrently with the drilling program
-
Drilling permit allows for up to 121 drill holes and 37,500 metres (approx. 123,000 feet) of drilling
Phase one of the program will initially focus on step-out drilling aimed at extending mineralisation north of MU1 and MU2, with the objective of increasing the project’s overall resource base. A second phase of infill drilling will follow to upgrade Inferred Mineral Resources to Indicated or Measured categories, strengthening resource confidence and future development planning.
Growing the Resource
Lo Herma currently hosts a Mineral Resource Estimate of 8.57 million pounds (32% Indicated) of eU₃O₈. The new drilling program is designed to convert the Exploration Target Range of 5.6–7.1 million tonnes at a grade range of 500–700 ppm eU₃O₈ into additional Mineral Resources. Results from this campaign will underpin an updated Mineral Resource Estimate and a revised Scoping Study in 2026.
AMU, CEO and Executive Director Bruce Lane said:
“We are pleased to confirm the expected timing of our upcoming approved resource development drilling campaign at Lo Herma. Phase one of the program will focus on growing the resource base by targeting extensions of the known trends to the north of planned mine units one and two. The program aims to increase the current 8.57Mlbs (32% indicated) eU3O8 Mineral Resource Estimate by converting Exploration Target Range mineralisation for Lo Herma which currently stands at 5.6 to 7.1 million tonnes at a grade range of 500 ppm to 700 ppm eU3O8. The exploration results are expected to feed into an updated Mineral Resource Estimate and revised Scoping Study in 2026 positioning AMU to deliver value from America’s nuclear energy revival.”
With drilling and hydrogeological testing progressing in parallel, American Uranium is advancing critical technical milestones required for ISR uranium project development. The Company remains well-positioned to support the U.S. nuclear fuel supply chain and meet growing demand for low-carbon energy sources.
