Arada extends global cultural commitment through landmark partnership with Biennale of Sydney

Edelman on behalf of Arada Australia

Sydney, Australia: Arada, the global developer with a unique vision for creating successful communities, has announced its sponsorship of the 25th Biennale of Sydney (2026), one of the world’s most celebrated contemporary art events. The partnership underscores Arada’s commitment to supporting arts, culture, and community on the world stage.

The Biennale of Sydney is one of the top biennials in the world – a leader in this global art movement and the biggest drawcard to Australia’s major cultural institutions and public spaces. It presents the most popular arts and cultural event in NSW.

For more than 50 years, the Biennale of Sydney has connected global and local voices, welcoming millions of visitors and showcasing leading artistic talent across generations. The Biennale has commissioned more new work than any other institution in Australia, supporting the careers of over 2,400 artists from more than 130 countries and territories. It presents some of the world’s most ambitious, thought-provoking contemporary art, bringing people together to share the stories of our interconnected global communities, with free admission for everyone.

The 25th edition will be led by acclaimed curator HH Sheikha Hoor bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President and Director of the Sharjah Art Foundation, who has been appointed Artistic Director. Titled Rememory, the Biennale will explore the intersection of memory, history and identity through bold contemporary art and multidisciplinary programming.

With a mission to create thriving communities and homes people love, Arada’s partnership reflects its belief in culture as a catalyst for connection and wellbeing, with the company already working with local community and creative groups ahead of the launch of its first projects in early 2026. The sponsorship will help ensure free access to world-class contemporary art, opening new opportunities for the community to engage with diverse artistic perspectives in Sydney and beyond.

As part of the partnership, Arada will present the Biennale of Sydney’s Family Day, which will take place across three Saturdays at White Bay Power Station. Family Days are a celebration of creativity, colour, and connection, and invite families to explore, play, and make art together.

Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said: “Arada is proud to partner with the Biennale of Sydney for its milestone 25th edition, an event that shares our values of creativity, inclusivity and connection. We believe great places are founded through deep cultural appreciation and contemporary innovations, and supporting one of the world’s most significant artistic gatherings is a natural extension of that vision. We look forward to working closely with Sheikha Hoor and the Biennale of Sydney team to celebrate art’s power to unite, inspire and enrich lives.”

HH Sheikha Hoor bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Artistic Director of the 25th Biennale of Sydney, said: “The Biennale of Sydney has always been a space for dialogue, exchange and discovery. Rememory will amplify diverse voices and explore histories that shape our sense of identity and belonging. I am delighted that Arada has joined us as a partner on this journey, reflecting a shared belief in the role of culture in building more connected communities and futures.”

The Biennale of Sydney will take place across multiple iconic venues from 14 March to 14 June 2026, with free admission for all audiences.
