As part of the 10th Anniversary of Brisbane German Week and the celebration of 35 years of German reunification, the Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany, Professor Michael Rosemann, will host an official reception at QUT Room Three Sixty on the 1st of October, 2025.
The evening will feature official addresses by the Premier of Queensland, David Crisafulli and the Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Adrian Schrinner, underscoring the cultural and civic importance of the occasion.
Launched in partnership with Neo.Fashion / Berlin Fashion Week, FAT.X gives Australian graduates the opportunity to showcase their collections in Berlin, while bringing Berlin’s most promising talent to Australia. This cultural exchange positions Brisbane as a hub for international fashion collaboration between Germany and Australia.
“Brisbane German Week has always celebrated the strong cultural, academic, and economic ties between Germany and Queensland. This year, with the launch of FAT.X, we are expanding that celebration into the world of fashion,” said Professor Michael Rosemann, Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Brisbane.
The highlight of the evening will feature the Australian debut of Berlin Fashion Week designer Lennart Bohle, who will present a selection of his award-winning runway pieces.
“Presenting my collection in Brisbane during such an important cultural occasion is a great honour. FAT.X is an exciting opportunity to connect young designers across continents,” said Lennart Bohle, designer and Berlin Fashion Week award-winner.
On October 3rd, Lennart Bohle’s collection will be showcased in the FAT.X Fashion Walk through Brisbane’s CBD, transforming the city into a public runway and allowing audiences to experience his work in an open, urban setting.
The FAT.X initiative is proudly supported by the German Consulate in Brisbane, Brisbane German Week, Neo.Fashion / Berlin Fashion Week, SBS, Stamford Plaza Brisbane, Lufthansa, Oscar Oscar Salons and Global Wings Travel as our official travel partner.
