Best financial products awarded for 2026 by Money magazine

Money magazine

The best financial products have been named for 2026, including the best super fund, investment manager, home insurer and savings accounts.

Money magazine announced the 2026 winners, across products and organisations, that consumers can look to find leading value to help them earn more, save more and make the most of their investments.

“The Best of the Best Awards helps readers make gradual changes across their investments and service providers. It can enable Australians to achieve more financial prosperity during the current cost of living challenges,” said Michelle Baltazar, editor-in-chief at Money magazine.

Among the major category award winners:

  1. Hostplus won Best Super Fund 2026
  2. UniSuper won Best Pension Fund 2026
  3. Macquarie Asset Management won Best Investment Manager 2026
  4. BlackRock Investment Management won Best ETF Manager
  5. Superhero won Best-Value Online Share Broker 2026
  6. Tangerine won Best-Value NBN Broadband Plan 2026
  7. Budget Direct won Best-Value Car Insurance 2026
  8. MG MGS5 Excite 49 won Best-Value Electric Car 2026

“As such, I want to highlight the power of 0.5%,” said Baltazar.

“An extra return of 0.5% each year from a managed fund or a fee difference of 0.5% each year can add up to tens of thousands of dollars over your lifetime, and twelve months is a long enough time to transform your finances.”

“Start with the decisions that can fundamentally reshape your finances – your first home loan or your choice of super fund – and build from there.”

Hostplus, for example, won the 2026 Best Super Fund, an award for their consistency across all superannuation categories, including winning the 2026 Best Balanced Super Product category for their indexed balanced option.

“This product achieved returns of 9.5% pa over five years, with the median product returning 8.0% pa. Similarly the fees on the Hostplus product were an incredibly low 0.04% on a balance of $50,000, whereas the average fees across MySuper is 0.87%1,” said Baltazar.

117 winners were announced across major categories of investing (superannuation, managed funds, ETFs and innovation), banking (including term deposits, savings accounts, home loans and brokers) as well as spending (including internet, mobile, insurance and cars).

The organisations that won the most awards were Bendigo Bank, Brighter Super, Commonwealth Bank and Hostplus.

Research for the awards was conducted by Rainmaker Information, which examined thousands of providers to identify the award winners in the superannuation, managed funds, exchange traded funds, banking products and insurance categories.

The full-results of the Money Best of the Best Awards are published in the December magazine, available in-store and online from December 1, 2025.
