Boon Edam showcases seamless secure entrances and biometric integrations
Boon Edam Australia
Boon Edam, a global leader in physical security entrances, will showcase its latest integrated solutions at Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2025, designed to address evolving security risks and stringent compliance requirements, including in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and the Pacific region.
The show, held September 29 – October 1, 2025, in New Orleans, highlights the latest technologies that are being used globally and locally to prevent unauthorised entry such as tailgating and piggybacking.
“Strong perimeter and interior security systems demand robust entry solutions, seamlessly integrated with modern sensors and management software – which is what our US colleagues are demonstrating at GSX 2025,” said Boon Edam Managing Director, Michael Fisher.
Featured solutions on display at GSX will include:
- Tourlock with Alcatraz Rock X: The high-security Tourlock 180 security revolving door integrates the Alcatraz Rock X facial authentication solution for fast, touchless biometric access with advanced tailgate detection capabilities. Designed for high-security environments, the Tourlock ensures reliable single-person entry while meeting the highest standards for privacy and protection.
- Speedlane Compact with Alcatraz Rock X and Idemia MorphoWave Compact: The sleek optical turnstile will be highlighted with two leading biometric systems. One side will feature the Alcatraz Rock X facial authentication solution. The other will demonstrate Idemia’s MorphoWave Compact for frictionless fingerprint recognition. These solutions deliver fast, touchless entry with secure, multimodal biometric verification. Idemia’s MorphoWave system has been integrated with Boon Edam Speedlanes in the Dexus Gateway building in Circular Quay, NSW.
- Turnlock 150 with BE Secure: Built for high-security indoor and outdoor environments, the Turnlock 150 combines rugged full-height access control with Boon Edam’s BE Secure system. Using Time-of-Flight sensors and AI, BE Secure detects piggybacking attempts and stops the turnstile if more than one person tries to enter on a single credential.
- Circlelock with Alcatraz Rock and Iris ID: Equipped with the Alcatraz Rock facial authentication and Iris ID’s iris recognition, this interlocking portal delivers multimodal biometric verification for the highest levels of secure access control. Circlelock’s two automatic sliding doors are designed so the first must close before the second opens, ensuring true single-person passage, while StereoVision sensors further prevent piggybacking attempts.
- Lifeline Speedlane Swing: The slimmest optical turnstile on the market, it combines sleek design with advanced sensing technology. Featuring smooth swinging glass barriers, intuitive approach detection, and accurate tailgating detection, it delivers secure, efficient throughput in compact spaces. Integrated with a standard HID card reader, it provides reliable, credential-based access control for facilities seeking speed and trusted performance.
“Boon Edam’s solutions enable organisations to better protect personnel, assets, and property, whilst also supporting sustainability initiatives and enhancing the user experience,” says Fisher.
With ASIO and other security bodies highlighting the importance of controlling insider risks, building and facility managers are increasingly turning to integrated entrance solutions that prevent unauthorised entry, and seamlessly work with digital identity systems.
“Australia and New Zealand are seeing similar trends to the US, where demand is particularly strong in high-security environments such as data centres, government precincts, and mixed-use commercial towers,” says Fisher.
“As more workplaces shift toward hybrid models, buildings must also accommodate fluctuating visitor volumes without compromising safety or efficiency. Boon Edam’s biometric-enabled entrances allow these facilities to balance strict compliance requirements with the need for smooth, welcoming experiences for staff, contractors, and guests.”
“As threats evolve and sustainability expectations rise, Boon Edam continues to support organisations in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and the Pacific with secure, integrated, and innovative entrances that are ready for the future.”
