Brisbane Business leaders to tackle economic uncertainty at Salvation Army event
Brisbane Business owners, entrepreneurs and community leaders are invited to join a timely discussion on how businesses can not only survive but thrive amid ongoing economic challenges at the next Salvos Connex event, hosted by The Salvation Army Queensland.
Economic uncertainty is placing increasing pressure on businesses of all sizes. Rising costs, housing supply for workers, changing tax conditions, and ongoing financial challenges are testing not only business performance but also the resilience and wellbeing of business owners and leaders.
This free event, “How can my own business survive/thrive in these tough economic times?”, will bring together respected business and industry leaders to explore practical strategies for navigating economic pressures, identifying opportunities for growth, and building resilient organisations in an increasingly complex environment.
The discussion will feature:
- Anthony Ryan, Chief Executive Officer of Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA)
- Colin Lee, Founder and CEO of Inspire Realty and Founder of Kingdom Entrepreneurs
- Caitlin O'Loan, Founder and Managing Director of COCOM
- Jess Ndenda, Founder of Olive Louise Social, who will serve as event MC.
Attendees will gain valuable insights into Brisbane’s economic outlook, emerging industries, investment opportunities, and the resources available to support business leadership and growth. The event is designed to provide practical, solutions-focused takeaways that participants can implement immediately within their own businesses.
The panel discussion comes at a time when rising costs, workforce challenges, changing economic conditions and broader financial pressures continue to impact businesses across Queensland. The evening will create an opportunity for local business owners & leaders to connect, share experiences and learn from industry experts who have successfully navigated periods of uncertainty.
The Salvos Connex series of events aims to bring together influential thinkers and leaders from across Brisbane to discuss issues that shape the city's future and impact the wider community. Through meaningful conversations and collaborative engagement, the initiative aims to inspire positive action and strengthen connections between business, government and community sectors.
The event will be hosted at TechnologyOne's Fortitude Valley offices, with TechnologyOne providing venue support and catering for attendees.
