Brisbane’s iconic club BIRDEES returns!!

Beneath the buzz of the Beaumont Beer Garden in Fortitude Valley, something legendary is stirring.

birdees is back!

Once the heart of Brisbane’s nightlife and a legendary stopover on the global backpacker circuit where the world’s wanderers met Brisbane’s coolest, where stories were swapped over schooners, dance floors pulsed with untamed energy, and mates became family, birdees returns with a fresh chapter. And this time, she's all grown up, she’s had a multi-million dollar makeover and facelift and she’s ready to make more legendary memories!

The new birdees tips its cap to its raucous, rowdy roots but steps forward with sophistication. Expect the unexpected, but the same cool soul that earned birdees a place in Brisbane’s collective memory.

Because the walls remember. The locals remember. And now, birdees is ready to make new memories. Carved into the bones of an old factory at 608 Ann Street, the place has stories that span generations. Oh, if her walls could talk, but it’s probably better they don’t! Tucked beneath the newly opened Beaumont Beer Garden, birdees reopens TONIGHT!

With the new birdees,  comes a new era for Brisbane nightlife. From birdees’ vibrant legacy emerges Friday night, called MONTY, and Saturdays at birdees.  More than just a club, birdees will remain an ode to music culture – past, present, and future. A place where nostalgia meets innovation, where vinyl beats pulse beneath digital dreams, and where every night is a celebration of rhythm, art, and energy.

"birdees is our love letter to music and the people who live for it," said Group General Manager, Danny Webster-Clamp, the visionary behind the transformation. "It’s where old-school soul and new-age sound collide, creating something Brisbane has never seen before."

A full-scale redesign now blends industrial luxe with immersive lighting, layered textures, and a sound system engineered for impact. Expect curated DJ lineups, live performances, underground house parties, and unexpected throwback sets — all under one roof. With a multi-level layout and a heavy focus on audio-visual artistry, birdees sets the stage for a new chapter in Brisbane’s late-night story. Whether you’re chasing deep house grooves, nostalgic R&B, or high-energy techno, birdees delivers an inclusive yet elevated experience.

Everyone has a birdees story: first kisses, last shreds of dignity, entire relationships formed over cheap spirits and sticky dance floors. They say Mr Brightside played more times than anyone can count. Tequila Sunrises flowed like water. And the pool? Let’s just leave it there!

So Brisbane- get ready to party like it never ended!

2. 2004 – Facebook Launches

The smoky, soulful icon who gave us "Rehab" and "Valerie" was gone too soon. Her hits kept pouring from the speakers in tribute, while the crowd raised bittersweet cocktails in her honour.

From renegade routines to cheeky lip syncs filmed in the Birdees bathrooms, TikTok ushered in a whole new wave of dance floor fame.

The legend whose beats lit up every festival—and Birdees’ dance floor—left too soon. “Wake Me Up” hit different that weekend.
