CHRIS & RICH ROBINSON ATTEND MELBOURNE OPENING OF ROSS HALFIN BLACK CROWES EXHIBITION

Behind The Gallery Welcomes Band to Exclusive Australian Showcase

Melbourne, Australia 2snd April 2026

Members of The Black Crowes, Chris and Rich Robinson, attended the Melbourne opening of The Black Crowes: Through the Lens of Ross Halfin, an exclusive exhibition presented by Behind The Gallery.

Held in Melbourne on 1st April, the opening brought together fans, collectors and industry guests to experience a curated body of work by legendary rock photographer Ross Halfin, documenting his decades-long relationship with the band.

The exhibition features a selection of Halfin’s most recognised and rarely seen images of The Black Crowes, spanning from their early 1990s breakthrough through to their enduring live presence today. A number of works on display were also co-signed by Chris and Rich Robinson, further underscoring the close creative relationship between photographer and band.

The Robinson brothers spent time engaging with fans and exploring the exhibition, which highlights key moments in the band’s visual and cultural history.

Stephen Dallimore, founder of Behind The Gallery, said the opening marked a significant moment for the gallery.

“To have Chris and Rich Robinson attend the opening and engage directly with the exhibition was a special moment. Ross Halfin’s work with The Black Crowes captures the band at defining points in their career, and seeing that connection come full circle in the gallery space was incredibly powerful.”

The Melbourne exhibition forms part of Behind The Gallery’s ongoing program of presenting culturally significant music photography, connecting audiences with the stories behind some of rock’s most enduring imagery.

The gallery is open until Sunday and then, Following strong demand, the exhibition will continue with a limited two-day pop-up presentation in Sydney on 8–9 April, timed to coincide with The Black Crowes’ Australian tour.
