The "Executive Talk on Service Trade -- Country of Honor: Australia" interview event was held on May 28 as part of the preparations for the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS 2025). Iannis Patin, Commercial Counsellor at the Australian Embassy in China, announced that Australia will serve as the Country of Honor for CIFTIS 2025. This year's Australian participation will be unprecedented in scale, with both its exhibition space and participant count setting a new record among all previous Countries of Honor at the fair.

During CIFTIS 2025, Australia will present a uniquely designed National Pavilion, incorporating iconic elements that showcase the country's vibrant and innovative image. Nearly 60 Australian institutions and enterprises will participate in the National Pavilion. These exhibitors will highlight Australia's leadership across a broad range of sectors -- including the green economy, education, tourism, food, consumer goods, and healthcare -- and will seek to explore and deepen cooperation with Chinese partners.

In the green economy, Australia will showcase cutting-edge sustainable technologies and concepts. In education, several leading universities will present high-quality academic resources and study-abroad programs. In tourism, the Australian delegation will highlight the country's unique natural landscapes and travel experiences. In the food and consumer goods sectors, many renowned Australian brands will bring a range of products that reflect Australia's signature values of sustainability, health, and safety. Healthcare and professional services sectors will also exhibit industry-leading innovations and services.

Nick Henderson, Regional General Manager for Greater China at Tourism Australia, stated that the organization has long been committed to developing independent travel and other tourism initiatives, while building a high-quality, efficient platform for exchange. Moving forward, Tourism Australia will continue its operations in China, leveraging its industry expertise to deliver updated travel insights, to further enhance tourism exchange and cooperation between China and Australia.
