Community Resources Welcomes Patronage of Her Excellency the Governor-General

Community Resources is proud to announce the patronage of Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia.

This follows the organisation’s inaugural patronage under the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, who served as joint patrons from 2022 to 2024.

The patronage recognises Community Resources’ national social and environmental impact through its social enterprises and community services.

Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of Australia, said, “Community Resources plays a vital role in building stronger, more inclusive communities by creating jobs and delivering services that support people and protect the planet. I am pleased to offer my patronage and acknowledge the meaningful impact of their work across Australia.”

We run some of the largest certified social enterprises in the country – Resource Recovery Australia, Soft Landing and Green Yakka – and deliver a range of place-based community services through Homebase Youth Services, Helping Hands and Great Lakes and Manning Youth Homelessness Services. Last year, we employed 786 people across NSW, QLD, VIC, WA and the ACT.
