COP30 TALENT ALERT: Greenpeace spokespeople on the ground at UN climate conference in Belém, Brazil

BELÉM, BRAZIL, Tuesday 18 November 2025 – Greenpeace Australia Pacific has a range of spokespeople on the ground in Belém who can speak to the COP31 bid, as well as developments from the COP underway in Brazil.
David Ritter, CEO at Greenpeace Australia Pacific. David is one of Australia’s leading voices for environmental justice. He can offer commentary on Australian politics, the need to rapidly phase out fossil fuels, the COP31 bid, and the parallels in the deforestation story in the Amazon and Australia including the EPBC reforms currently underway.
Shiva Gounden, Head of Pacific at Greenpeace Australia Pacific. Raised in Fiji, Shiva leads Greenpeace's Pacific program of work and is a vocal advocate for Pacific climate justice. He has been a delegate at 5 previous COPs, and part of numerous international climate and environmental forums. He can speak to global climate policy, climate finance, the Australia-Pacific relationship and COP31 bid, and why the 1.5C ambition gap must be addressed.
Dr Simon Bradshaw, COP31 Lead at Greenpeace Australia Pacific. Simon has been a researcher, writer and campaigner for climate action for over two decades, attending many rounds of international climate negotiations. He was formerly Research Director at Climate-KIC Australia, and a climate specialist with Oxfam. Simon brings expert knowledge in climate science, extreme weather, climate change adaptation, climate finance, and international action.
