Directitude Transforms Another Iconic Perth Venue with Stunning Parkerville Tavern Redevelopment
From Print Hall and Raffles Hotel to Tigerfish in Cottesloe, Perth hospitality fit-out specialists Directitude continue to leave their mark on some of Western Australia's most recognisable venues.
PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA – October 2026: Behind some of Perth's most iconic hospitality venues is a team of designers, craftspeople and fit-out specialists whose work has helped shape the way Western Australians dine, drink and socialise.
From the sophisticated interiors of Print Hall at Brookfield Place to the much-loved Raffles Hotel and Tigerfish in Cottesloe, Directitude has built a reputation for transforming hospitality spaces through bespoke craftsmanship, custom joinery and innovative fit-out solutions.
Now, the Perth-based company has unveiled its latest transformation, breathing new life into the outdoor beer garden at the historic Parkerville Tavern, nestled in the picturesque Perth Hills.
The newly completed redevelopment delivers a contemporary outdoor entertainment experience while preserving the character and charm that have made the Parkerville Tavern a favourite among locals and visitors for generations.
At the heart of the transformation is a striking new pavilion, designed to create a comfortable, year-round gathering place for families, friends and sports enthusiasts.
Featuring a large-screen television for watching live sport, the pavilion has been thoughtfully designed to embrace Western Australia's changing seasons. Heating provides warmth during chilly Hills evenings, while cooling misters, outdoor blinds and fans ensure guests can relax in comfort throughout the warmer summer months.
A new split-level decking area, complete with tables, chairs and umbrellas, overlooks an expansive children's playground, creating a welcoming destination where parents can unwind while their children play.
The result is a versatile, family-friendly outdoor space that combines contemporary functionality with the relaxed atmosphere of a traditional Hills tavern.
For Directitude CEO David Miller, the project represented more than a hospitality refurbishment. It was an opportunity to contribute to one of the Perth Hills' most treasured community destinations.
Working closely with the venue's management, local tradespeople and suppliers, the Directitude team approached the redevelopment with a strong commitment to maintaining the venue's historic identity.
The transformation required a carefully considered approach, with input from local stakeholders helping ensure the new outdoor facilities complemented the tavern's established character and natural bushland surroundings.
Construction was undertaken throughout winter, with the team working towards a spring completion to ensure the venue could make the most of the warmer trading season.
The timing could not have been better.
Following the project's handover on a Friday morning, the first guests began arriving by 11am, ready to experience the transformed beer garden.
For Mr Miller, seeing the space immediately welcomed by patrons was a rewarding conclusion to months of planning, collaboration and construction.
"Projects like Parkerville Tavern are what we love about working in the hospitality industry. It's about creating spaces that people genuinely enjoy spending time in, while respecting what makes each venue unique," Mr Miller said.
"Parkerville Tavern has such a rich history and a strong connection to its local community. We wanted to deliver something that would enhance the guest experience without losing the charm and character that people have loved for years."
Mr Miller also acknowledged the contribution of the wider project team.
"This transformation was a real team effort, and I want to thank our wonderful client, our dedicated team, local tradespeople and suppliers who helped bring the vision to life."
Parkerville Tavern Venue Manager Angie Martinz praised Directitude's professionalism, responsiveness and attention to detail throughout the redevelopment.
"Everyone from the team was absolutely amazing to work with. I was so happy with them," Ms Martinz said.
"They were very attentive to every detail, always responded to calls and enquiries, and always had a solution. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was suitable for the venue."
For Directitude, that level of client collaboration has become central to its reputation across Perth's hospitality sector.
Known for delivering bespoke hospitality environments, the company brings together custom joinery, craftsmanship and practical design solutions to create spaces that are not only visually impressive but also built for the demands of busy hospitality operations.
The Parkerville Tavern redevelopment adds another significant venue to Directitude's portfolio and demonstrates the company's ability to balance heritage, functionality and modern hospitality expectations.
As Perth's hospitality landscape continues to evolve, Directitude remains focused on helping venues create memorable experiences through thoughtfully designed and expertly delivered spaces.
And for visitors to the Perth Hills this spring and summer, the transformed Parkerville Tavern beer garden offers another reason to gather, relax and enjoy one of the region's most cherished destinations.
