Sydney / Perth — Europa Metals Ltd (proposed ASX: EUZ) is listing on the ASX tomorrow with a strategy to explore for gold and antimony in one of Europe’s most historically productive antimony districts in Austria.

Chief Executive Officer Torey Marshall said Europa’s approach rests on the close geological association between antimony and gold across its three priority projects in the Carinthia region in southern Austria.

“We like antimony and gold because we get two credits for the same shovel,” Mr Marshall said.

Europe has limited or no domestic antimony production and relies heavily on imports of the metal, which is used in defence, energy storage and advanced technologies. Antimony is listed as a critical raw material by both the European Union and the United States.

Few nations wear their mining heritage as proudly as Austria. Around 7,000 years ago, miners at Hallstatt began working what is now regarded as the world’s oldest salt mine, lending their village’s name to an entire era of European prehistory. The Romans prized Noric steel forged in the Alpine province of Noricum, while Styria’s mighty Erzberg has yielded iron ore since the Middle Ages. In the 15th and 16th centuries, the rich silver mines of Schwaz in Tyrol helped bankroll the Habsburg dynasty. Now, Carinthia’s centuries-old gold and antimony mines are ready to write their next chapter.

Rather than re-enter historic workings, Europa plans to use modern airborne geophysics to trace the shear zones that host the mineralisation and to identify drill targets alongside the old mines.

Europa raised $4 million through its initial public offering, led by GBA Capital, issuing 20,000,000 shares at $0.20 each.

About us:

Europa Metals Limited is a mineral exploration company with a portfolio of antimony, gold and tungsten projects in Austria. Its initial exploration focus is the Kreuzeck West, Kreuzeck East and Goldeck-Siflitz projects, which contain documented historic workings and mineral occurrences. Europa plans to combine historical records with modern geophysics, field verification and drilling to test priority targets. The portfolio also includes Schellgaden, a historically documented gold and tungsten district that provides additional exploration exposure. The timing and scope of work at each project remain subject to approvals, access, funding and the Company’s ongoing technical assessment.
