The Children's Book Council Australia (CBCA) holds events across Australia. This time it is in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. Next time it may just be near you.
The Children’s Story Festival at Coogee Beach Club on the final weekend of the spring school holidays! The CBCA Eastern Suburbs is delighted to share storytelling, autographs, craft, buy books, talk to authors and illustrators.
2-4 p.m. Sunday 12th October. This is a FREE family event to meet local and renowned authors and illustrators. Families are all welcome.
Best-selling authors and illustrators will be there, including Alexa Moses of ‘Twinnings’ fame. Carla Hoffenberg who just released ‘Harries’ in a picture book of our very own Bondi Beach Hero, Harries Carroll. Amada Lieber, author of picture book My Giant Seas Shell; award winnng Samera Kamaleddine; Suzanne Leal and her amazing war stories; Elizabeth Cummings who has captured the images and poetry of our coastline will be presenting craft and multi talented Nisaluk Chantanakom will be there. Monica Lizama of the much loved Paws series will welcome you as a puppy. Then there is Susanne Gervay with her iconic Elephants Have Wings recognised celebrated for its inclusiveness on Harmony Day.

Children’s Book Council Eastern Suburbs
CBCA Eastern Suburbs are a passionate and bursting-with-energy group of authors, illustrators, teachers, librarians, and advocates for children’s literature. Members meet every 2-3 months to share our works-in-progress, celebrate successes and discuss ways to engage our community of young families.
