Ex-Tradie to Comedian - Mickey Wilson brings 'How Ya Goin' to WA on National Tour

MAD Wilson Entertainment

Kalgoorlie, Esperance, Albany, Manjimup, Busselton, Bunbury, Mandurah, Fremantle, Perth, Lancelin — Mickey Wilson is coming to WA. The Darwin-born comedian has sold two businesses, the family home, packed up the kids, hooked up the caravan, and is taking his hit show HOW YA GOIN? on the road. After sell-out shows at Adelaide Fringe, he is now rolling through Regional and Metro WA from April through May — and tickets are moving fast.

It’s the kind of story that resonates out here. Mickey is a qualified auto electrician — good money, steady work — who found himself lying in his bed at a remote mine site one night, FaceTiming his family back home, when it hit him: there has to be more to life than this. He did the soul searching, asked himself what he truly loved, and landed on one honest answer: making people laugh. So he travelled the country honing in on his craft. 5 years later he sold everything and went all in.

HOW YA GOIN? is Mickey’s debut national tour — an unfiltered, high-energy dive into family chaos, self-sabotage, modern parenting, and the everyday absurdities of Aussie life. Expect belly-hurting laughs, wild stories, cheeky filth, and brutally honest observations, all delivered with the kind of raw authenticity that’s fast becoming his trademark.

Born in Darwin, Mickey has built a loyal following online, racking up more than 30 million views across social platforms by taking the “mickey” out of everything — including his own looks, his kids, and his borderline obsessive inner clean freak. He’s the hard-shell Aussie dad with a soft (and slightly unstable) centre: quick wit, big energy, and brutally relatable storytelling.

With so many people doing it tough right now, Mickey’s mission is simple: give people a proper bloody good laugh. HOW YA GOIN? is for parents, non-parents, clean freaks, filthy party animals — and anyone who’s ever questioned their life choices. If you’ve ever driven three hours for a good night out, Mickey’s bringing the night out to you. He takes the chaos of everyday life and turns it into cathartic comedy that leaves audiences laughing, cringing, and feeling a whole lot better about themselves.

Dave Hughes calls Mickey a rising star of Australian comedy. Theatre Matters rates his delivery as “high octane” with “stellar quick wit.” Audiences across the country have loved it— WA is next.

The tour launched in Darwin in September 2025 and has been rolling down the east coast of the country ever since.
