Family First is proud to announce that it will field a record slate of 35 candidates for the House of Assembly and two candidates for the Legislative Council at the up-coming South Australian election.

This unprecedented candidate lineup for the values-based minor party, headed by lead Upper House candidate Deepa Mathew, reflects the strong community support for Family First’s message of taking the pressure off families from the cost-of-living crisis to housing affordability to the protection of parental rights.

Family First has been encouraged by recent Demos polling which places the party as the fifth ranked party contesting the election, a result that augurs well for securing representation in the Legislative Council.

Campaign Director Jack Snelling said Family First’s strong candidate team was a testament to the grassroots support the party has built in South Australia.

“While Family First is encouraged by early polling which shows the party is well placed to return to the Parliament after an absence of several years, we are taking nothing for granted. Our volunteers are working hard all the way to election day to ensure mums and dads know there is a party fighting to take the pressure off families,” Mr Snelling said.

The full team of candidates will campaign on a platform focused on cost of living, improving housing affordability, protecting parental rights in education, and restoring common sense to government decision-making.
