FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sydney, NSW, Australia – In solemn remembrance of the tragic events at Bondi Junction and to honour the profound heroism of Faraz Tahir, as well as the memory of the other five victims, the family Faraz is launching a public blood donation initiative, "Faraz's Gift." This act of collective generosity is intended to uphold the legacies of those lost through tangible acts of kindness. It is noted that each blood donation has the potential to save up to three lives.

Musafar Tahir, the elder brother of Faraz Tahir, stated:

"Faraz selflessly gave his blood in an attempt to save the lives of his fellow Australians, his brothers and sisters in humanity. In a similar spirit, though on a significantly lesser scale, we encourage the community to donate blood. This collective effort exemplifies our shared unity, values, and unwavering commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of Australians."

Faraz Tahir is remembered as an individual of exceptional courage and dedication. Having sought refuge in Australia from persecution, he swiftly became a valued member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community youth chapter. His commitment to community service was evident through his regular participation in initiatives such as Clean-up Australia Day, Red Cross blood donation drives, tree planting activities, and numerous other volunteer endeavours.

The "Faraz's Gift" campaign directly reflects Faraz’s enduring dedication to assisting others and preserving human life. This sentiment is deeply rooted in the teachings of the Holy Quran, which states: "...And whoso gave life to one, it shall be as if he had given life to all mankind..." (Quran 5:33). Faraz's courageous actions during the crisis embodied this sacred verse, as his selflessness contributed to the preservation of others' lives at the ultimate personal cost.

The family of Faraz Tahir respectfully encourages all members of the general public to consider donating blood at their local hospital as a meaningful way to honour the victims of this tragedy and to continue Faraz Tahir's legacy of compassion and service.
