Faster, further, carrying capacity - Boresight's new target drone is built to do more
JMM
The new aerial target-drone BQ-750 Block 2 offers 35 minutes plus flight time, 2.5 km plus range and payload carrying capability.
First orders have successfully been delivered with further orders being received.
New drone integrates seamlessly with Boresight's proprietary Ground Control System used by the established BQ-400 aerial target-drone allowing for fast and effective implementation of drone training practices and swarming function.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 6th July 2026
CANBERRA, ACT - Boresight Ltd (ASX: BST)
Building on the momentum of their first commercially successful drone, the BQ-400, Boresight’s engineering team have created a new drone the BQ-750 Block 2.
This larger, faster drone, has greater endurance and payload capacity meaning it can carry a small load - be it a dropper mechanism, a shot detection unit or an electronic warfare package. As the drone threats in real life conflict change, so too must Boreight’s offering.
Justin Olde, Boresight’s Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, says:
“We understand the aerial-target drone market will evolve and we have to respond to it. The BQ-750 Block 2 is a clear example of our ability to interpret that evolving market and develop a product that meets client demands. By creating a target-drone with increased flight time, increased range and useful payload capacity, the BQ-750 will help customers continue to develop their training scenarios to reflect the real world threats they are facing.
Another intentional design feature is that the BQ-750 integrates with the same Ground Control Station as Boresight’s highly successful BQ-400 aerial target drone. This makes it very easy for customers to use as they can add the drone to their training rotation and secondly, allowing for swarming with a mixture of BQ-400 and BQ-750 aerial target-drones. One system with multiple drones of various models means more effective and efficient training for customers. We are creating an ecosystem that allows for easily, repeatable, cost effective counter drone training."
The BQ-750 Block 2 has been developed to utilise Boresight's proprietary Ground Control System architecture, enabling seamless integration into existing training protocols for operators already familiar with the Company's systems.
Drawing on its experience delivering over 5,000 target drones globally, Boresight has applied its proven 3D printing manufacturing process and in-house developed flight control hardware to bring this larger, highly cost-effective platform to market, reinforcing the Company's well-established design and manufacturing capabilities.
