Key Facts:
  • Fig & Bloom has launched High Floral Design, a made-to-order floral collection inspired by co-founder Kellie Brown's background in fashion, treating floristry as a design discipline rooted in line, proportion, colour, and restraint.
  • The debut collection features three arrangements — Soleil, Carmen, and Sienna — each built around a distinct colour palette using flowers such as phalaenopsis, calla, carnation, hydrangea, and copper beech, with each piece priced at $449.
  • Brown describes the approach as composing bouquets in the same considered way one might think about getting dressed, ensuring every stem serves a purpose within the overall form.
  • The collection was unveiled at an intimate long lunch at Restaurant Hubert in Sydney, co-hosted by creative Holly Boorman, with guests from the fashion, media, and creative industries attending for French food, candlelight, and a first look at the arrangements.
  • High Floral Design is available to order now at figandbloom.com, with delivery across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

Fig & Bloom Launches High Floral Design, a Couture Approach to Flowers

Co-Founder Kellie Brown draws on her background in fashion for a made-to-order collection built on line, proportion and restraint, unveiled at an intimate lunch at Sydney's Restaurant Hubert co-hosted by creative Holly Boorman.

SYDNEY, Australia, 29 September 2026

Fig & Bloom has launched High Floral Design, a made-to-order collection that treats floristry as a design discipline rather than a delivery service. The brand calls it the start of a new era: sending flowers, reimagined as a statement of taste rather than a gesture.

Born from co-founder Kellie Brown's years in fashion, High Floral Design returns flowers to the language of artisanal luxury. Line, proportion, colour and silhouette are handled as something sculptural - fewer stems, more intention, with every arrangement composed as a study in form, colour and restraint, much like what you would see on the runway in Paris.

The debut collection comprises three made-to-order arrangements, each built around its own palette:

  • Soleil (yellow / white): phalaenopsis, calla and carnation in pale yellow and cream, under a fall of hanging amaranthus.

  • Carmen (pink / apricot): hydrangea and phalaenopsis from blush to apricot, trailed with rose-pink amaranthus.

  • Sienna (rust / terracotta): copper beech, wide and low, carrying peach phalaenopsis, carnation and white calla.

Each arrangement is made to order and priced at $449.

"I never wanted to be a florist who just puts flowers in a vase and sends them out the door," said Kellie Brown, co-founder and creative director of Fig & Bloom. "High Floral Design is really me bringing my fashion years into the studio. You think about a bouquet the way you'd think about getting dressed properly: the line of it, the proportions, how the colours sit together, the shape it makes in a room. Every stem has to be doing something. If it isn't, it comes out."

To mark the launch, Fig & Bloom took over the Theatre Royale at Restaurant Hubert in Sydney for an underground long lunch, co-hosted with creative Holly Boorman. Guests, including stylists Monica Morales, Fleur Egan and influencers, Alex Talfino and Ciara Keva, gathered for French food, moody florals, a chance to dress up and a first look at the collection.

“The idea was to take florals out of the pretty box and treat them more like fashion. Sculptural, provocative, a little undone and completely alive. So we built a world around it. Candlelight, French food, theatrical florals and a table of brilliant humans from fashion, media and the creative industries,” said co-host Holly Boorman.
