FREESTYLE KINGS RETURN TO PERTH FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TWO YEARS WITH A HOMETOWN RIDER READY TO MAKE ACTION SPORTS HISTORY

PERTH, WA – After a two-year absence, the Freestyle Kings Capture The Crown Live World Tour is making its long-awaited return to Perth on Saturday, 11 July, bringing the world’s biggest names in freestyle motocross and BMX to RAC Arena for a jam-packed night of world-first tricks, high-octane production and jaw-dropping entertainment.

Leading the charge is Perth’s own Brayden “Muggins” Davies, who will attempt one of the most dangerous tricks in action sports—a backflip on a full-sized Harley-Davidson motorcycle—in front of his hometown crowd.

Weighing approximately 260kg, around three times the weight of a standard motocross bike, the Harley-Davidson is notoriously difficult to control in the air. Fewer than five riders in the world have successfully landed the trick, which was pioneered in 2009 by Australian action sports legend Kain Saul.

Now Davies is hoping to write his own chapter in freestyle motocross history.

To attempt a stunt of this magnitude is crazy enough but doing it in front of my hometown crowd in Perth takes the pressure to a whole new level,” says Davies.

The bike is an absolute beast and the margin for error is zero. I’ve taken plenty of hits preparing for this because a Harley-Davidson isn’t designed to leave the ground, let alone flip through the air. But if everything comes together, Perth could witness a trick that has never been landed before.”

Headlined by international action sports hero Robbie Maddison, Freestyle Kings return with their biggest Perth production yet, featuring some of the world’s most accomplished freestyle athletes, including multiple World Champions Pat Bowden, Clinton Moore, and Australia’s most decorated X Games rider Rob Adelberg who just took home the gold medal in China, putting him in the lead for most Moto X medals of anyone in X Games history.

The Freestyle Kings combine elite athleticism with stadium-scale entertainment, delivering gravity-defying freestyle motocross, BMX and snowmobile stunts, world-first trick attempts and non-stop adrenaline in one unforgettable live experience.

Adding to the family atmosphere, Robbie Maddison’s sons, 15-year-old Kruz Maddison and 13-year-old Jagger Maddison, will ride alongside their father and some of the world’s best freestyle motocross athletes.

“Perth hosted the very first action sports show in the late 1990’s and has always been one of our favourite crowds, so we’re excited to finally be coming back after two years. Perth is going to be blown away by how far my boys have come, but also how far the riding of the whole crew has elevated,” says Robbie Maddison.

“Capture The Crown is our biggest production yet. We’re bringing a supershow of world-class athletes, huge tricks, incredible competition and moments fans simply won’t see anywhere else. Whether you’re into motorsport, action sports or just want an unforgettable night of entertainment, this is the show to see.”

Also joining the line-up is 21-year-old Central Coast rider Tarj Daly, who continues his rise as one of freestyle motocross’s brightest young stars. Daly is set to a jaw-dropping double backflip in front of a live audience; challenging the record for the youngest rider in the world to pull it off. If successful, he will take his place as one of the youngest ever to enter this elite and exclusive club, joining fellow show stars Pat Bowden and Clinton Moore in the history books.

I’ve spent the last six weeks dialling in this trick, and to think I get to attempt it in front of the amazing Perth crowd at RAC Arena and become the youngest person on the planet to land a double backflip in front of a live audience—I can’t wait,” says Daly.
