From 9 to 5 (well, 3 to 4): Coles turns up Dolly Parton nationwide

Coles is turning the supermarket aisles into a country music celebration, with stores across Australia set to honour country music icon Dolly Parton with a special hour of her greatest hits.

From 3pm to 4pm today, Wednesday 26 August, Coles Radio will turn up Dolly Parton across all Coles stores nationwide, celebrating the songs and extraordinary music career that have made her one of the world’s most loved entertainers.

So, whether you’re picking up dinner, grabbing a few essentials or working 9 to 5, shoppers are invited to grab a trolley and join the celebration for a little trolley-tapping in the aisles to honour the music and life of Dolly Parton. 

The special Coles Radio takeover will mark Dolly Parton’s passing, confirmed on Wednesday morning.

Coles Executive General Manager Supermarket Operations Martin Smithson said, “There was only one Dolly Parton. Her music brought joy to generations of fans, so to honour her today we’re turning up the volume and celebrating an extraordinary entertainer. We’re inviting our customers and team members to enjoy a little 9 to 5 and Jolene for one special hour.”
