Geovista and Mission Critical Group merge to advance driller-operated geophysics and expand APAC presence
Mission Critical Group Pty Ltd (MCG) and Geovista Limited
Geovista Limited, a well-established leader in borehole geophysical logging systems with global offices including the UK and North America, is merging with Mission Critical Group Pty Ltd (MCG), an Australian firm specialising in driller-operated geophysics instruments for the mining industry.
The merger combines Geovista’s extensive experience and globalfootprint with MCG’s progressive technology and deep regional expertise in the APAC mining market. The integration expands Geovista’s capabilities, providing customers with a broader product range and a dedicated office in Perth, Western Australia, which will enhance local manufacturing, maintenance, and technical support.
Together, they reinforce their ability to serve clients in the mining, geotechnical, groundwater, and environmental fields worldwide, driving growth and delivering advanced subsurface data services across markets.
The merger is expected to take effect on Tuesday, 9th of September 2025. After the merger, Geovista will rebrand MCG, integrate its operations, and incorporate its expertise into the global Geovista organisation. The financial terms of the merger are not being disclosed.
The merger marks a significant step in Geovista’s expansion plans. Focused on targeted acquisitions, the company aims to build its market position and introduce innovative tools to mining and environmental projects worldwide, competing strongly in the Mining Equipment and Technology Sector (METS).
Tim Hopper, CEO of Mission Critical Group, will transition to the role of Chief Technology Officer at Geovista. Brenton Armitage, previously COO, will also join Geovista’s Board of Directors and take on the role of General Manager for the APAC region.
The announcement coincides with the Australian Exploration Geophysics Conference in Perth.
