GMHBA appoints new Chief Information Officer to drive innovation and enhance member experience

GMHBA has appointed Kathryn Young as its new Chief Information Officer, bringing her exceptional leadership, functional expertise and transformation experience to support technology solutions for the regional private health insurer.
Kathryn joins GMHBA from Catholic Church Insurance where she was CIO. She has also previously held Executive and General Management roles at IAG, ANZ Bank and EDS Australia.
GMHBA CEO David Greig said he was delighted to welcome Kathryn to join the executive team.
“Kathryn’s expertise and leadership come at a pivotal time as we continue to harness the opportunities in the ever-evolving technology space and the broader healthcare industry,” he said.

At the start of 2024 GMHBA embarked on the single largest technology investment in its 90-year history. This program of work will implement market leading technologies and processes, creating new ways to enhance customer value through greater collaboration, efficiency and functionality across the business.
