Government drops ball on child safety; ignores questions

Western Australia Senator Fatima Payman has written to the Prime Minister, demanding answers to her questions about why he's ignoring Productivity Commission recommendations on early childhood safety.

The questions, which have gone unanswered for four months, relate directly to the safety of children as stipulated by the commission.

'Families are right to expect that their government will do everything possible to keep children safe," Senator Payman said.

A copy of the letter is attached.
