NSW mums and dads need to understand that one of the State's most influential politicians is part of a radical global network dedicated to teaching their children their gender is fluid. Alex Greenwich's visit to Amsterdam shows just how much the deconstruction of marriage and family and the indoctrination of children is being driven by global actors seeking to influence Australia.

Family First NSW Legislative Council candidate Lyle Shelton said Alex Greenwich's own account of his participation at Amsterdam WorldPride should concern every parent who wants schools focused on reading, writing and arithmetic rather than gender ideology.

Mr Greenwich has publicly celebrated meeting international LGBT activists, including campaigners behind overseas same-sex marriage movements, drag performers, and political organisers committed to expanding what Family First describes as an agenda that reaches well beyond legal recognition of same-sex relationships.

"Mr Greenwich has every right to travel and meet whoever he likes, but NSW parents also have a right to know that one of the Parliament's most influential MPs is deeply embedded in a sophisticated international activist movement that is actively shaping public policy here in Australia," Mr Shelton said.

"This is not simply about celebrating diversity. It is about advancing an ideology that tells children biological sex is fluid, seeks to normalise radical gender theory in schools, and continues to redefine the family in ways that place adult desires ahead of children's rights."

Mr Shelton said his objection was not to international engagement itself.

"I also participate in global networks. The difference is the purpose."

"I have attended gatherings of the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship, which brings together leaders from around the world who are working to rebuild the moral, cultural and institutional foundations of Western civilisation after decades of ideologically-driven decline.

"ARC exists to strengthen families, restore personal responsibility, defend freedom of speech, encourage strong communities and renew the institutions that have allowed Western societies to flourish.

"Mr Greenwich's international networks are working towards a very different vision. They seek to dismantle the historic understanding of marriage and family, promote danger gender-fluid ideology to children and continue reshaping our laws and institutions around activist identity politics."

Mr Shelton said Australians should judge international movements by a simple test: whether they strengthen or weaken families.

Mr Shelton said one of the clearest examples was the growing international push for commercial surrogacy driven by rainbow political activists.

"Across the world, powerful LGBT activist organisations are campaigning to expand commercial surrogacy markets so babies can be deliberately conceived without their biological mother in order to satisfy the lifestyle aspirations of same-sex attracted men.

"Family First believes children have a fundamental interest in knowing and, wherever possible, being raised by their own mother and father.

"Women should never become commercial wombs for hire, and babies should never become products bought and sold through international reproductive markets."

Mr Shelton said Mr Greenwich continues to advocate for policies that further dismantle the natural family while seeking to entrench gender ideology throughout public life.

"Mainstream mums and dads want safe schools, affordable living, reliable energy and children who are free to grow up without ideological confusion.

"They are not asking for politicians to import ever more radical social experiments from overseas.

"If elected to the NSW Legislative Council, Family First will fight to restore parental rights, protect children from gender ideology, defend freedom of speech and ensure government once again puts families—not activist networks—first."
