SYDNEY, NSW  – Dust off your wands, gather your fellow witches and wizards and prepare for a magical adventure unlike anything you've experienced before!

This November, Sydney's streets will become the setting for a spellbinding citywide adventure as SYDNEY POTTER QUEST arrives on Sunday 29 November 2026, bringing a whirlwind of mystery, magic, riddles, hidden treasures and challenges to the heart of the city.

Part scavenger hunt, part magical mystery and part race against the clock, this extraordinary interactive experience will see families, friends and teams of adventurers exploring Sydney's CBD in search of clues, collecting enchanted treasures and completing challenges as they work their way towards a secret grand finale.

And there's one very important twist...

NOT EVERYONE WILL BE FOLLOWING THE SAME PATH!

The adventure begins at Belmore Park, near Central Station, where participants will be sorted into one of four magical houses, each represented by a different colour.

Once sorted, teams will receive their first mysterious mission, and the race begins!

But don't expect a map with all the answers.

Participants must solve magical trivia, decipher cryptic riddles and unlock clues to discover where their journey will take them next.

With four different routes winding through Sydney's streets, historic landmarks and hidden corners, teams will never quite know what's waiting around the next corner.

Expect the unexpected!

Along the way, adventurers will encounter interactive games, magical challenges, mysterious encounters, edible treasures, collectible trinkets, secret codes and plenty of surprises.

From cracking ancient mysteries to hunting down hidden treasures, every successful challenge brings teams one step closer to the ultimate destination.

And while every house travels a different route, all four will eventually converge at a secret finishing point, where the final challenge awaits and the winning teams will be crowned!

Organisers say the experience has been designed to appeal to magical adventure lovers of all ages.

Whether you're a family searching for a memorable day out, a group of friends looking for something completely different, a couple ready for a little friendly competition or a lifelong Harry Potter enthusiast, there's a magical adventure waiting for you.

Costumes are highly encouraged, with participants invited to arrive in their finest magical attire, complete with cloaks, scarves, hats and wands.

AMA Event Management Director Monique Annetts said the concept was about creating an adventure where participants become part of the story.

"We wanted to create something that goes beyond your traditional scavenger hunt. Imagine being sorted into your house, receiving your first mysterious clue and suddenly finding yourself on a magical adventure through Sydney, with absolutely no idea where you're heading next!

"We want families, friends and adults alike getting completely caught up in the experience. Solving riddles, laughing together, collecting treasures, discovering new places and getting a little competitive along the way.

Taking place on Sunday 29 November 2026, Sydney Potter Quest will begin at Belmore Park, with participants embarking on a self-paced adventure through the CBD.

The full experience is expected to take approximately two to four hours, depending on each team's pace, challenges and chosen transport.

Participants will need a mobile phone to access clues and follow their adventure, comfortable walking shoes and, most importantly, a sense of adventure!
