ANZSOG's redesigned website brings its ripple-inspired brand identity to life. Built with Storyblok and React, the project was delivered by the JTB Studios team through sister agency Dobre.

How JTB Studios brought ANZSOG's brand story to life with Storyblok

MELBOURNE, 21 October 2026 — A ripple representing the influence of public servants became the central idea behind a brand and website transformation delivered by Melbourne digital agency JTB Studios for the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG).

The project brings together brand storytelling and Storyblok publishing technology to express ANZSOG’s purpose while helping visitors find education programs, research and events.

Recognised with a 2026 Australian Good Design Award in Digital — Web Design and Development, the project was entered through JTB Studios’ sister agency, Dobre, and delivered by the same team behind JTB Studios.

ANZSOG develops public sector leaders across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. Its existing website had accumulated legacy issues through multiple migrations, making programs and research difficult to find.

Discovery included stakeholder workshops, staff focus groups, alumni interviews and navigation testing. The findings identified complicated navigation, difficulties comparing programs and obstacles in the enrolment journey.

Those insights informed both the new identity and the structure of the website.

Turning purpose into a digital experience

At the centre of the identity sits a ripple: support for one public servant extends outward to their agency and the communities it serves.

Animated ripple lines carry that idea through the website. Organic shapes, a palette drawn from land, water and sky, and commissioned Indigenous artwork contribute to an identity informed by First Nations and Māori connection.

“Every decision, from the ripple in the brand to the way content is structured, came back to what we heard in discovery,” said Aaron Fraser, Digital Director.

The storytelling extends beyond visual presentation. The organisation’s programs, research, insights and events are brought together through a restructured information architecture designed to help visitors navigate complex information.

Giving the organisation room to evolve

The website combines Storyblok’s content management system with a React front end. A library of reusable components allows ANZSOG’s team to assemble and update pages within a consistent design framework.

That approach supports ongoing publishing as the organisation’s programs and content develop, allowing its team to build on the established brand experience.

The platform also connects with Zoho Backstage for event ticketing, Salesforce for enquiries and Algolia for search.

The ANZSOG brand and website transformation demonstrates how research, storytelling and publishing technology can work together: organisational purpose informs the design, while the underlying platform supports its continued development.

Dobre is credited as the designer in the official Australian Good Design Awards listing.
