Leadership, Visibility, Access - Arts and Disability Network Australia to drive national change
Creative Australia
Creative Australia will invest $800,000 over four years to support Arts and Disability Network Australia, a newly established group led by disability arts organisations, to promote a more connected, equitable future for the arts and creative industries.
The group will play a critical national role in delivering disability arts services to the sector, supported through Creative Australia’s multi-year investment in delivery partners for 2025 to 2028.
Arts and Disability Network Australia brings together disability arts organisations from across the country, led by Access2Arts (SA), working alongside Accessible Arts (NSW), DADAA (WA), Incite Arts (NT) Arts Access Darwin (NT), Access Arts (QLD) and Arts Access Victoria (VIC).
Creative Australia CEO Adrian Collette AM said:
“We’re proud to support Arts and Disability Network Australia as our delivery partner for Disability Arts Services for 2025-2028. This new national group brings together the knowledge, lived experience, expertise and leadership of disability organisations from across the country, ensuring our arts truly reflect and are accessible to all Australians.”
Arts and Disability Network Australia is currently recruiting for its first National Director – a visionary leader who will guide the organisation’s mission and shape the future of disability-led arts in Australia.
Access2Arts Chief Executive, Rebecca Young said:
“This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of access, inclusion, and advocacy for d/Deaf and disabled artists, arts workers, and cultural organisations across Australia. We are looking forward to finding an exceptional leader to bring together the passion, expertise, and experience of all of our state disability arts peak bodies to forge a bright future for the national arts and disability sector.”
Accessible Arts CEO Liz Martin said:
