WordPress agency Made Neat, headquartered in Noosa with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Newcastle, has won eight awards at the 21st annual w3 Awards. Two of them went to Inklings, the agency’s own AI-powered handwriting analysis platform.

Inklings won Silver in both AI categories it entered: Best AI User Interface Design and Generative AI Application. It is also a finalist in three categories at the 2026 Australian Web Awards.

Inklings is an online handwriting analysis service, designed and built in-house by Made Neat. Customers copy one sentence onto paper, photograph it and upload it. The platform’s AI, trained on six established graphology frameworks, then produces a personalised report of more than 10 pages covering how they think, communicate, make decisions and handle stress. The report is delivered online and as a PDF in about 10 minutes, and is sold as a one-off report or gift card, prices in six currencies for customers worldwide.

“Inklings is our own product, so we live with every decision we make on it, from how fast it loads to which features people actually use,” said Made Neat Managing Director Luke Humble. “That makes us better at building for clients, and seeing it recognised in two AI categories alongside our client work tells us we’re getting that balance right.”

Made Neat entered five websites: Inklings and four built for clients. All five received an award, for a total of one Gold and seven Silver. The Gold went to the website for Brisbane-based custom builder Emwinn Constructions in the Home Renovation category.

The Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA) announced the winners on 30 September. AIVA judges the program, with jurors from organisations including Google, Netflix, Microsoft and Stanford University. Entries are scored out of 10, and Gold requires a score of 9 or above. This year’s winners also include work for Bank of America, Cisco and Pfizer.

“We don’t build websites to win awards. It’s all about great design and functionality that bring in more work for our clients,” Mr Humble said. “Seeing every site we entered recognised by an international jury is a great result for my team and, more importantly, for our clients.”

The Emwinn Constructions site was built around large architectural photography and a premium layout, designed to reflect the builder’s craftsmanship. It also guides each visitor to the right path for a new home, a renovation or a design-and-build service, and enquiries arrive already sorted by project type.

Made Neat has operated since 2010 and looks after more than 200 websites for businesses, not-for-profits and institutions. Its clients include Monash University, AVID Property Group, InfraBuild and Private Healthcare Australia. The agency runs a distributed model, with its team spread across Australia and overseas.

“We run our business from Noosa with a team across Australia and overseas, which gives our clients access to the very best talent,” Mr Humble said. “You don’t need to be in a capital city, and our clients don’t need global budgets, to get work that stands up internationally.”
