Media Alert: Regional Australians travel to Canberra to brief politicians on why they need Local Energy Hubs

A huge cross section of regional Australia living in the thick of our shift to renewable energy are calling on the Federal Government to fund Local Energy Hubs.

Farmers, retired coal workers and local government representatives have travelled to Canberra today, to explain why they want Local Energy Hubs in their communities.

Local Energy Hubs are a proposed network of outreach centres staffed by locals to assist their communities navigating renewable energy and transmission projects in their regions, while helping local households, businesses and farms lower their energy bills and electrify.

The briefing will detail the model rationale and provide an opportunity to discuss how the federal government can best support country Australia in the shift to renewables.
