GOODSERCLE
WHAT: Cooper MP Ged Kearney will meet with GOODSERCLE CEO Gauri Shah following the organisation’s award of a WorkFoundations grant to build work-readiness pathways and create paid employment placements in the appliance repair sector—strengthening Melbourne’s circular economy. GOODSERCLE partners with householders, businesses, local councils and community groups across Melbourne to reduce greenhouse gases and waste to landfill through responsible collection and refurbishment of whitegoods. To date, the social enterprise has provided more than 4,800 families with access to affordable whitegoods, reduced CO₂ emissions by 45,000 tonnes and diverted 250 tonnes of e-waste from landfill.
