MEDIA BRIEFING - Propelling clean power: Offshore wind demystified

Climate Media Centre

Event details: May 29, 2025 12:30 PM AEST | 10:30 AM AWST | 12 PM ACST via Zoom

You’re invited to “Propelling clean power: Offshore wind demystified” an online media briefing from the Climate Media Centre that will bring together experts, community members and industry insiders to answer your questions on offshore wind. We will cover topics such as end-of-life management, marine impact, jobs, and community benefits.

Offshore wind is booming in popularity overseas but concerns persist here over the social, environmental and aesthetic impact of offshore wind. However, despite anti-offshore wind campaigns featuring prominently in this year’s Federal Election, Australians rejected the disinformation in favour of renewable energy progress.

Register here to attend the media briefing

This briefing is recommended for editors and general news reporters who want to ensure they know what they’re talking about when it comes to offshore wind. Therefore this briefing might not be suitable for more specialised energy reporters, however they may want access to our guests for their unique insight.

The event will run for a maximum of 45 minutes inclusive of question time.

Please share this event with your friends and colleagues.
