Margaret Olley: Australian Intimiste
Drawing from significant public and private collections, and curated by NAS Gallery Manager and Senior Curator Katrina Cashman, in consultation with Christine France OAM (friend of Olley’s and a trustee of her estate), the exhibition will feature more than 60 artworks by Margaret Olley, tracing her preoccupations from early interiors to her later richly textured compositions featuring floral arrangements, antiques, and domestic objects. This exhibition provides a lens into the European artistic tradition intimisme, honouring the quiet poetry of domestic life and the interior world.

Australian Intimiste celebrates Olley’s remarkable six-decade career since graduating from the National Art School and honours the formative relationships and creative communities that sustained her beloved practice.

If you would like to attend, please let us know by emailing [email protected], as we’d be delighted to see you there.

We also have NAS Gallery Manager and Senior Curator Katrina Cashman available for interviews, which we’d be happy to facilitate for you, if interested?

I look forward to hearing back from you!

Thank you,
Bri
