Media Release: Vasey RSL Care Welcomes Victorian Government Funding to Enhance Resident Care

Vasey RSL Care

Vasey RSL Care is pleased to announce it has received $32,000 in funding through the Victorian Government’s Residential Aged Care Equipment Grants program, supporting its residential aged care facilities in Bundoora, Brighton, Brighton East and Frankston South.

This funding forms part of the Victorian Government’s Strengthening Medicare – Supporting Older Australians initiative and will be used to purchase additional specialised medical equipment to further enhance the quality of care provided to residents. Items to be acquired include infra-red thermometers, vital signs monitors, stethoscopes and finger pulse oximeters – critical tools that support timely clinical assessment and response.

Vasey RSL Care has a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality, person-centred care to veterans and the broader community. This funding will further strengthen its ability to maintain the highest standards across its residential aged care services.

Vasey RSL Care Chief Executive Officer Janna Voloshin welcomed the funding, noting its direct impact on resident wellbeing. “This funding contributes towards our investment in vital clinical equipment that allows our teams to deliver safe, responsive and high-quality care every day,” Ms Voloshin said.

Vasey RSL Care Executive General Manager for Residential Services Corrine Lyon added that, “Ensuring our staff have access to the best tools is essential in maintaining the high standards our residents and their families expect and deserve.”

Ms Voloshin also acknowledged the importance of government support for the not-for-profit aged care sector. “We are grateful to the Victorian Government for recognising the needs of residential aged care providers and for supporting organisations like ours. This investment not only strengthens our capacity to deliver excellent care, but also reinforces a shared commitment to improving outcomes for older Australians,” Ms Voloshin added.

Vasey RSL Care is greatly appreciative of the Victorian State Government for this important funding stream, which will make a meaningful difference in the day-to-day care and safety of residents.
