- RR Auctions, Australia's premium online collector vehicle auction platform, has transitioned from monthly to weekly auctions from July 2026, giving buyers fresh listings to discover every week.
- The platform is experiencing strong international growth, with recent sales including a rare 1998 Subaru Impreza WRX STI 22B - one of only 424 produced worldwide - and the iconic 1978 Pontiac Firebird from *The Rockford Files*, both sold to North American collectors.
- Head of Sales Joshua Wygoda said the move to weekly auctions reflects growing demand from both sellers wanting faster access to market and buyers actively seeking new opportunities each week.
- Upcoming auctions feature a diverse range of vehicles including a 2025 Lotus Emira First Edition, 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo, 2015 Audi R8 V10, 1973 Ford Escort Mk1, and various heritage number plates.
- Despite the increased auction frequency, RR Auctions maintains its standards of professional presentation, government-authorised identity verification, secure trust account fund management, and its industry-leading zero per cent seller commission.
Australia's collector vehicle market is moving faster than ever, and RR Auctions is keeping pace.
From July 2026, Australia's premium online auction platform for collector, classic and enthusiast vehicles has officially transitioned from monthly auctions to a weekly auction model, allowing buyers to discover new vehicles to view, track, and bid on every single day.
The move comes as RR Auctions continues to experience strong growth, with Australian collector cars attracting increasing attention from buyers around the world.
In the past two auctions alone, the platform has successfully sold collector vehicles into North America, underlining the growing international appetite for Australian-listed vehicles.
Leading that momentum was the recent sale of an exceptionally rare 1998 Subaru Impreza WRX STI 22B, which achieved the strongest result for a 22B sold in Australia since 2022 before being secured by a North American collector. One of only 424 examples produced worldwide, the sale further cements Australia's place in the global collector car market.
Joshua Wygoda, Head of Sales at RR Auctions, said the move to weekly auctions reflects both growing demand and changing buyer expectations.
"We're seeing more quality vehicles coming to market and more buyers actively looking and checking in every week," Mr Wygoda said.
"Weekly auctions allow us to respond to that demand. Sellers can get their vehicles to market faster, while buyers have fresh opportunities each week to access the new, curated listings that are hitting the platform continuously."
The recent Subaru sale follows another international success, with the famous 1978 Pontiac Firebird from The Rockford Files, driven by James Garner, also finding a buyer in North America after achieving a record result through RR Auctions.
Upcoming weekly auctions continue to showcase the breadth of the market, featuring vehicles including a 2025 Lotus Emira First Edition, 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo, 2015 Audi R8 V10, 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT, 1995 Dodge Viper RT/10, 1973 Ford Escort Mk1, 2012 FPV GT, 1971 Ford XW Fairmont GT and a range of sought-after heritage number plates.
While previous headline sales have also included a Ferrari F40 and Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.
"Collectors are always searching for that next special car," Mr Wygoda said.
"They are looking for quality, provenance and transparency and our job is to connect exceptional vehicles with the right buyers, whether they're in Melbourne, Miami or Munich."
"Moving to weekly auctions means there is always something new to discover."
While the auction schedule has changed, RR Auctions’ commitment to quality remains the same. Every vehicle continues to receive professional photography and detailed presentation, while all buyers and sellers complete Australian Government-authorised identity verification. Funds are securely managed through a secure Trust Account, and sellers continue to benefit from the platform's industry-leading zero per cent seller commission.
With fresh auctions launching every week and international demand continuing to grow, RR Auctions is entering its next chapter by giving enthusiasts more cars, more opportunities and less waiting.
