These new assays follow a total of 330 RC drill holes completed as part of a comprehensive grade control program aimed at delineating the ore zones below the caprock in the proposed open pit area. The current announcement includes results from an additional 149 holes.
Alex Passmore, NMG’s CEO, commented: “We are pleased to report high gold grades from this round of grade control drilling which adds further confidence to the mining proposition at Crown Prince in addition to the recently announced high-grade caprock results. The mineralised zones and grades defined by our grade control programs so far are confirming our expectations on a high grade, high return open pit proposition.”
Crown Prince is located 22km north-west of Meekatharra and is the most advanced deposit in the Garden Gully Project. It is hosted within the Abbotts Greenstone Belt, an area known for structurally controlled high-grade gold mineralisation.
This round of drilling supports the geological continuity of the mineralised structures in the SEB and replicates previously reported grades, underpinning the robustness of the Crown Prince deposit as NMG advances toward production.
