No place for adult-child sex books in schools, says Family First

Family First Senators, if elected, will push to make the Classification Review Board family friendly after it upheld its decision to allow school children access to a book which depicts paedophilia and pornography.

The board’s decision to allow children access to the radical book Gender Queer by LGBTIQA+ activist Maia Kobabe is further evidence it is not acting in the interests of mainstream mums and dads, said lead Senate candidate for Victoria, Bernie Finn.

“No mum or dad wants their child’s school library lending their children a book which depicts a man in a sexual act with a child, masturbation or gender fluid concepts.

“There is no place in civil society, let alone school libraries, for books which promote adult-child sexual relations or concepts,” Mr Finn said.

Family First acknowledges the work of advocate Bernard Gaynor who has campaigned tirelessly to protect children from inappropriate material in public and school libraries.
