Ofload welcomes Queensland freight brokerage NTS as part of national growth strategy

Ofload

Key Facts:
  • Ofload, an Australian digital freight company, has acquired Queensland-based freight brokerage National Transport Solutions (NTS), gaining an established presence in Queensland and adding underutilised southbound freight lanes to its national network.
  • NTS co-founders Phil McConville and Grant Fisher will work alongside Ofload's Director of Integrations, Drew McKinnel, who is relocating from Sydney to Brisbane to establish a permanent Ofload office in Queensland and ensure a smooth transition for existing customers and carriers.
  • Ofload CEO Geoffroy Henry described the acquisition as part of a broader, disciplined growth strategy aimed at consolidating a fragmented freight market, with technology and scale increasingly differentiating successful businesses.
  • Ofload has secured an AUD$50 million asset-backed trade receivables facility from Australian private credit manager GCI Funds to support both organic growth and selective acquisitions.
  • NTS customers and carrier partners are assured that day-to-day service will remain unchanged from the outset, with additional benefits including simpler booking, clearer reporting, and improved freight visibility to follow.

SYDNEY, 22 September 2026: Ofload, an Australian-based digital freight partner, today announced that National Transport Solutions (NTS), a Queensland-based freight brokerage, has joined the Ofload network.

The move gives Ofload an established footprint in Queensland and adds diversified freight flows to its national network, including volume on southbound lanes that too often run underused. For NTS's customers and carrier partners, the day-to-day relationship continues as normal, now backed by Ofload's national carrier network and digital platform.

“Australia's freight market is consolidating, and we see real value in bringing well-run businesses like NTS into the Ofload network,” said Geoffroy Henry, Founder and CEO of Ofload. “NTS gives us a strong footprint in Queensland and freight flows in lanes that are often underused. For their customers and carriers, it means the service they already know, now backed by a national network and a platform built to take waste out of freight. This is one step in a broader growth strategy we're pursuing with discipline.”

“NTS is something we've built with a lot of pride over the years, and the relationships we have with our customers and carrier partners mean everything to us,” said Phil McConville and Grant Fisher, co-founders of NTS. “That's exactly why finding the right partner mattered so much. In Ofload we found a team who share the same ethos we do, and who have the scale and technology to keep giving them more. We're proud to be bringing our customers and carriers into good hands, and to see the business we built continue to grow.”

To support the transition, Ofload's Director of Integrations, Drew McKinnel, is relocating from Sydney to Brisbane to establish Ofload's Brisbane office, working alongside NTS co-founders Phil McConville and Grant Fisher through the handover. The new office gives Ofload a permanent presence in Queensland and a base to serve customers and carriers across the state.

“Setting up in Brisbane puts us on the ground where our customers are, and doing it alongside Phil and Grant means a genuinely smooth handover,” said Drew McKinnel, Director of Integrations at Ofload. “What I'd want NTS customers to know is that on day one, the service they rely on doesn't change. From day two and beyond, it's the same experience, plus more: simpler booking and rebooking, and clearer reporting and visibility over where their freight is and how it's tracking.”

The acquisition forms part of a broader inorganic growth strategy through which Ofload is selectively bringing established freight brokers into its network, consolidating a fragmented market at a time when scale and technology increasingly separate the businesses that thrive from those that struggle. That strategy is supported in part by an AUD$50 million asset-backed trade receivables facility from GCI Funds, an Australian private credit manager, which supports Ofload as it grows both organically and through selective acquisitions.

“Ofload is exactly the kind of business we look to back: a strong management team, a clear strategy, and a genuine technology advantage in a large and fragmented market,” said Henry Stewart, Managing Director at GCI Funds. “We're pleased to support Ofload's growth ambitions.”
