One Nation slide continues as GetUp targets Farrer voters with 100,000 texts

GetUp!

Fresh YouGov polling reveals One Nation's primary vote has fallen three points, as GetUp's Farrer by-election campaign enters its final stretch.

The result marks the second consecutive drop across multiple polls, with Interim GetUp CEO Paul Ferris saying voters are waking up to One Nation's billionaire backers and a candidate whose political loyalties have been all over the map.

"It seems Australians don't like millionaires being bought by billionaires while pretending to be a battler," he said.

"We're not surprised by this result at all."

The advocacy organisation has raised more than $500,000 in donations since getting involved in the by-election, on top of a recent blast of 50,000 text messages directly to voters across the electorate with another 50,000 planned before polling day.

GetUp's campaign, funded entirely by its members, spans television, billboards, radio and digital platforms across Farrer and other urban electorates.

GetUp believes Australians deserve transparency about who One Nation really answers to, including how its leader travels. The organisation has built a tool to track Pauline Hanson's flights and fuel consumption at please-ex-plane.com.
