One week to go: Melbourne welcomes the world for the 14th World Chambers Congress

The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Melbourne is set to shine on the global stage next week as we host 1,000 delegates from 100 countries for the 14th World Chambers Congress (14WCC). For the first time, Melbourne will host the Congress – co-organised by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) World Chambers Federation (WCF) and the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and supported by the State Government of Victoria, positioning Victoria as the epicentre of international commerce, innovation and collaboration.

Our state is rolling out a vibrant welcome for international delegates, with Melbourne Town Hall illuminated in 14WCC colours throughout the Congress and Melbourne’s Logo Garden Bed blooming in a bespoke 14WCC design, visible from St Kilda Road.

Guided by the theme “Business, chambers, government: Partners for prosperity”, the Congress will feature more than 80 globally renowned speakers and thought leaders across three days of plenary sessions, panels and discussions.

Key highlights include:

  • What lies ahead for business? Navigating geopolitics and the global economy with Nonkululeko Nyembezi (B20 South Africa, Standard Bank, Business Leadership South Africa) and Shinta Widjaja Kamdani (CEO, Sintesa Group).
  • Charting the future: Leadership for collaboration and progress with Anousheh Ansari, CEO of XPRIZE and the first female private space explorer.
  • Beyond the Pool Side – The Olympic Games and the Business of Global Impact featuring Kieren Perkins OAM, CEO of the Australian Sports Commission, Francois-Xavier Bonnaillie, Chief Commercial Officer of Brisbane 2032 and Heidi Cooper, CEO of Business Chamber Queensland.

Other program highlights will address the clean energy transition, AI and digital leadership, life sciences, future workforce development and global trade resilience.

Delegates will also enjoy unforgettable networking and cultural experiences, including:

  • Welcome Reception – at SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium on Tuesday evening.
  • Gala Dinner and World Chambers Competition Awards Ceremony – at the Crown Palladium on Thursday night, celebrating the world’s most innovative chamber projects.
  • The WILDly Aussie Experience at Gumbuya World – on Friday, 5 September, where delegates can encounter Australian wildlife, enjoy a classic bush BBQ and experience outback shows and theme park rides.

The 14WCC offers unmatched opportunities to connect with CEOs, chamber leaders, political figures and dignitaries from across the globe, spanning more than 25 industries. It is where international commerce meets real-world solutions, and where business leaders, governments and chambers will shape the future of prosperity.

Tickets are still available for one-day passes, three-day delegate passes and the gala dinner. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this historic global gathering in Melbourne.
