What:            Over 750 of Australia’s top anaesthetists, clinicians, researchers and medical leaders from across Australia and globally will gather in Canberra this week for the Australian Society of Anaesthetists’ (ASA) National Scientific Congress (NSC)

 

When:           2-5 October 2025

Where:          National Convention Centre, Canberra

Why:             International and National keynote speakers who will present a variety of topics including cutting-edge clinical developments, workforce sustainability, and the future of patient safety in our operating theatres.

Fast Facts:

  • The Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA), will host around 750 Anaesthetists from across Australia and globally at the Canberra Convention Centre
  • The Canberra Hospital (TCH) is a significant hub for anaesthesia training and practice
  • Canberra was the launch city for the ASA’s 90th anniversary, in 2024
  • Speakers at the meeting include world leaders Professors Tim Cook (Bath, UK), Edward Mariano (California, US), Cynthia Wong (Iowa, US) Andy Klein (Cambridge, UK) and Alicia Dennis (Melbourne, AU).
