Pause and reconnect: Easter’s message for a stretched and uncertain world

As cost-of-living pressures rise and global uncertainty deepens, Wesley Mission CEO, Rev Stu Cameron, is urging Australians to pause and reconnect this Easter.

Cameron says in a world that feels uncertain and stretched, Easter reminds us every life matters.

“We are living through dizzying and difficult days. From global conflict to pressures at home, many people are feeling overwhelmed.”

Wesley Mission sees the impact up close.

“There are families with nowhere to go but their cars. People fleeing violence. Young people needing safety and stability. Behind every number is a person, a name, a story, a life that matters.”

Rev Cameron says it is in moments like these the Easter story resonates.

“The Easter story is 2,000 years old, yet it’s meaning still resonates. It speaks into a world that is fractured and uncertain and offers the assurance that chaos is not the end of the story: that even in the hardest moments renewal and new life are possible.    

Rev Cameron says Easter affirms the worth of every single life.
“In a world where many feel overlooked or pushed to the margins, Easter offers a different perspective that each of us carries God-given dignity, value and meaning.”
