Event Details:
Date: Saturday, 1 March 2025
Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Location: Bibra Lake Reserve
Imam Syed Wadood Janud of Nasir Mosque emphasized the Ramadan connection:
“Ramadan teaches us that sacrifice is not just about abstaining from food—it’s about devoting our time and energy to uplift others and protect Allah’s creation. This cleanup initiative is an act of worship, echoing the Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) teaching that ‘cleanliness is half of faith.’ We hope to inspire unity and gratitude for the natural beauty around us.”
Mr. Anjum Qaisrani, Local President, added:
“As more than 813,300 Australians Muslims observe Ramadan starting this weekend we thought what better way of integrating faith with action than starting the blessed month with community service. Just as Ramadan unites families at the iftar table, we invite all residents—regardless of faith—to unite in safeguarding our shared home. Together, we can turn sacrifice into sustained action.”
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Perth invites media, local leaders, and residents to participate in this hands-on initiative.
