Premier must resign after female prisoner sexually assaulted by biological male
Family First Party
Family First’s lead Victorian Upper House candidate Jane Foreman has called on Premier Jacinta Allan to resign after revelations that a female prisoner was sexually assaulted by a biological male housed in a women’s prison under the Allan Government’s radical gender ideology.
“This is the inevitable and tragic consequence of putting ideology ahead of women’s safety,” Ms Foreman said. “From pre-schools to prisons, Labor’s embrace of radical rainbow ‘pride’ ideology endangers children and women. The Premier must go.”
Ms Foreman said it has now emerged that while Victorians were being reassured last September—after the shocking revelation that a biological male who had sexually assaulted his own son was being held in a women’s prison—the Premier’s office was hiding a secret payout to the female prisoner abused in the latest case.
“The cover-up is as disturbing as the crime,” she said. “A woman was violated, others are in danger. Yet the government chose secrecy, silence and spin.”
Ms Foreman condemned the government for refusing to front the media, instead sending the Minister for Children, Lizzie Blandthorn, to dodge basic questions about prisoner safety, payouts, police action and whether biological males will continue to be placed in women’s prisons. The Corrections Minister, Enver Erdogan, also refused to appear.
“This is an admission of failure,” Ms Foreman said. “If the government cannot even guarantee that biological males will not be housed with women, then women remain at risk—right now.”
Family First says the policy framework promoted by Corrections Victoria has demonstrably failed. “Common sense has been abandoned, and women have paid the price,” Ms Foreman said.
“Victorians deserve leadership that puts safety first. Until biological reality is restored to policy—and accountability restored to government—women will not be safe. The Premier’s position is untenable.”
