SYDNEY - The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia will hold a major press conference ahead of the nation's largest and longest-running Muslim convention in Western Sydney.
The 38th Jalsa Salana (Annual Convention) will be held from Friday, 2nd October to Sunday, 4th October 2026 at Masjid Baitul Huda (House of Guidance), Australia's largest mosque, located in Marsden Park, Western Sydney.
The three-day event is expected to draw over 4,000 attendees from across Australia and overseas, serving as a direct counter-narrative to social division by demonstrating how Islamic faith and Australian national identity coexist harmoniously.
Key topics to be addressed include:
1. Unity and Loyalty as Australian Muslims
2. Human Rights
3. Achieving peace at global, national, and local levels
4. Addressing local challenges (Islamophobia, anti-immigration sentiment, etc.)
5. Faith in Action - major humanitarian drives and youth-led volunteer work.
Imam Kauser, National President and Missionary-in-Charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia, said:
“Our historic Annual Convention is now in its 38th consecutive year, and thousands of dignitaries, faith leaders, and Ahmadi Muslims will gather to seek spirituality, deepen understanding, and promote peace and unity. This unique event provides a platform to answer questions directly and address misconceptions often associated with Islam. Our doors and hearts are always open to the public, and we wholeheartedly invite all those who seek knowledge, dialogue, and mutual understanding.”
The convention regularly attracts government officials, lawmakers, diplomats, faith leaders, and major news outlets, offering a rare opportunity for media and the public to engage face-to-face with the Muslim community.
