Proveda’s WINGS of Hope Gathering Returns as Part of International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day

The annual, free event unites community members impacted by suicide with a special memorial and morning tea

Frenchs Forest, NSW - 4 November 2025: On 22 November, Proveda will host its annual WINGS (We Inspire New Growth After Suicide) of Hope gathering at Rocky Point Island, Balmoral Beach in Mosman, from 10:30am to 1:00pm. Open to the public, the free event unites those impacted by suicide loss and shines a light on the power of connection and shared healing. As part of the global International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day, WINGS of Hope joins gatherings around the world to honour loved ones lost to suicide and serves as a poignant reminder that no one needs to face this journey alone, aiming to inspire hope through a creative acknowledgement of grief and shared experience.

The gathering, hosted and led by Proveda’s experienced suicide prevention and grief support team, will include a small, creative ceremony that attendees may participate in or observe, along with a few words of support by Proveda’s Community Programs Manager, Danni Petkovic, followed by a lovely morning tea for those who wish to stay and connect with others.

“The WINGS of Hope gathering offer a meaningful space for people with shared lived experience to come together in a relaxed and supportive environment,” said Proveda’s Community Programs Manager, Danni Petkovic. “We hope this gathering offers a gentle reminder to those grieving a suicide loss that they are not alone. Support is available, and through connection with others who truly understand, moments of comfort and healing can be found.”

About WINGS of Hope program:
The WINGS (We Inspire New Growth After Suicide) of Hope program has emerged as a strong, vibrant, personal experience designed to support people. In 2020, Proveda (formerly CCNB) successfully merged with WINGS of Hope and proudly integrated this important program into the organisation. By doing so, Proveda has deepened its level of support for mental health by strengthening the supports for people with the experience of suicide, as the organisation aims to ensure that this postvention program, reaches more families and friends of those lost to suicide.

About Proveda (formerly CCNB):
A valued partner, trusted provider and respected employer, Proveda’s purpose is to enable individuals and communities to grow, connect and feel supported through collective expertise.  Established in 1994, Proveda is the Northern Sydney Region’s largest independent, not-for-profit, community-led organisation. Its focus is to support people, their families and carers to navigate the health and social care systems, access the services they require, when they require them, and to live the life they want.
