Public Inquiry into AUKUS Sydney hearings today

Former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and former Foreign Minister Bob Carr will be first up presenting this morning at the Sydney hearings of the crowdfunded, independent Public Inquiry into AUKUS.

Media are welcome to attend today, with a range of other speakers also confirmed including Professor Toby Walsh the Chief Scientist at the AI Institute of UNSW, member of the Australian Security Leaders Climate Group Ian Dunlop and former RAAF Group Captain Peter Hayes.

The Public Inquiry into AUKUS is taking submissions from the public and subject matter experts and holding public hearings in most capital cities.  To date over 500 written submissions have been received, with highly successful hearings taking place in Melbourne, Fremantle and Adelaide.
