RACGP announces candidates for 2026 President election
Royal Australian College of GPs
The Royal Australian College of GPs (RACGP) has announced the candidates for the 2026 President election.
The candidates, listed in ballot order, are:
- Dr Anita Muñoz (Victoria)
- Dr Gavin Colthart (Queensland)
- Dr Ramya Raman (Western Australia)
RACGP members will elect the College’s next President, who will serve as the principal public representative and spokesperson for the RACGP, as well as a Director on the RACGP Board.
The role provides leadership for Australia’s largest professional general practice organisation and advocates for GPs and their patients nationwide.
The presidential candidate campaigning period opens at 12.00pm AEST on Friday 24 July 2026, with voting scheduled to open at 12.00pm AEST on Tuesday 11 August 2026 and close at 12.00pm AEST on Friday 21 August 2026.
The President-elect will be announced on Monday 24 August 2026.
