LIVE READ 1A: General event in more info

If you’re looking for something to do this Australia Day in Adelaide, there’s a full day and evening of events at Elder Park, and best of all it's FREE!

The day starts with Mourning in the Morning from 7.30am, followed by Aus Lights on the River from 5pm, including the Aus Lights Parade at 6pm, the main concert from 8.30pm, and a fireworks finale at 9.30pm, with the event finishing at 11pm.

LIVE READ 1B: General event

If you’re looking to do something this Australia Day in Adelaide, there’s plenty to choose from at Elder Park, and best of all it's FREE!

Australia Day in South Australia begins with Mourning in the Morning, a First Nations-led ceremony held from 7.30am, creating space for reflection and listening at the start of the day.

The focus shifts to a family friendly big community program that evening, with Aus Lights on the River kicking off at 5pm with the Fireworks finale on at 9.30pm

 


LIVE READ 2: Evening event 

If you’re heading into the city tonight, Aus Lights on the River runs from 5pm to 11pm at Elder Park and is completely free.

The Aus Lights Parade starts at 6pm on War Memorial Drive near Adelaide Oval, travels along King William Street, and finishes at Elder Park — with people encouraged to line the route and then follow the parade into the main event.

The evening also includes the official ceremony, concert, immersive light installations, and a fireworks finale at 9.30pm.

 

LIVE READ 3: Family-friendly

Aus Lights on the River is a family-friendly event with plenty on offer for all ages — from the large-scale light installations and community performances through to live music and fireworks.

The main concert gets underway from 8.30pm with etc fireworks finale on at 9.30pm, before the night wraps up at 11pm.

 

LIVE READ 4: Statewide 

Australia Day is also being marked right across South Australia, with local ceremonies and celebrations taking place in communities throughout the state.

Events are supported by Australia Day Ambassadors, who are attending activities across regional South Australia.
